Does anyone know any really good dance studios that offer Jazz Funk?
I’ve been wanting to join a dance studio with some really good jazz funk classes near Gurnee or northern Chicago. I haven’t been able to find one though. Does anyone know any dance studios or performing arts centers?
I don’t live anywhere near you, so I’m not sure if I can be much help, but I can try hahaha…
When I typed ‘jazz funk dance gurnee’ and ‘jazz funk dance northern chicago’ into Google, not many results came up. But I’ve found quite a few places where you can take jazz.
STUDIOS IN GURNEE:
1) Dance Theatre of Northern Illinois – http://www.dancetheatre-ni.com/index.html – This studio offers classes in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop and pointe. Boys only and girls only classes are offered in ballet, tap and jazz.
2) Rhythm Academy of Dance – http://www.rhythmacademy.com/ – This studio offers classes in Highland dance, ballet, poms, salsa, hip hop, jazz and tap.
STUDIOS IN NORTHERN CHICAGO:
1) Lou Conte Dance Studio – http://www.hubbardstreetdance.com/lcds_home.asp – This studio offers classes in ballet, jazz, modern, tap, African, hip hop, Zumba, BeMoved, Pilates, yoga, musical theatre and more.
2) 3rd Street Dance & Theatre Academy – http://www.3streetdance.com/index.html – This studio offers classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and modern/lyrical.
Sorry if I’ve screwed up the locations of any of those. If I were you I would go to Lou Conte Dance Studio, it sounds like the best one. I’m really sorry I couldn’t find you more!
